荷兰几个名字的由来

英语比较BT，名称不统一。 Netherlands的意思就是低地，荷兰原文是Neder（低）land（地） Dutch呢，是形容词形式，来自Diets，是当地讲的方言名称。“Diets”=“Middle Dutch”=a collective name for a number of closely related West Germanic dialects (whose ancestor was Old Dutch) which were spoken and written between 1150 and 1500. 还有Holland呢，经常被用来指代Netherlands，但其实原意只是Netherlands西北的一部分。就好象我们用England来代称整个英国一样。
