《希波克拉底誓言》------希波克拉底

波罗、阿斯克勒庇俄斯、健康女神、海革亚医疗之神帕那凯耶以及诸天神之前立誓，愿以全部能力和判力遵守此誓言：对待业师像对待自己的父母一样，与其一起生活，他若需钱，与他共享，视他的子嗣如我的兄，如果他们需要，我愿完全义务教导他们医术。对于本人的儿女、老师的儿女以及依医师规律立誓与契约的徒弟，我将尽力传授医师的知识、箴言和信条，但不传授给其他人。我愿意竭尽一己的能力和判断来治疗病患，并防止他们受到伤害与不公平的待遇。 我将不受任何人的请托而供应或建议使用毒药，也不为人堕胎。我将保卫我的生命和技艺使之纯洁而神圣。不论访视任何人家，我将为病人利益着想。不管他们是否奴隶，我将避免所有的蓄意不公、恶行、以及尤其是性关系的发生。我绝不泄露经由治疗或其他途径所获得的他人隐私，对传出去将混淆视听之事应藏在己心。如果本人坚守誓言，愿我在众人中为我的生命和技艺获得永远的荣耀﹔但假如我背弃誓约，愿相反的报应临在我身上。 湯銘哲教授譯 ---------------------------------- 仰赖医神阿波罗·埃斯克雷波斯及天地诺神为证，鄙人敬谨直誓，愿以自身能力及判断力所及，遵守此约。凡授我艺者，敬之如父母，作为终身同业伴侣，彼有急需，我接济之。视彼儿女，犹我兄弟，如欲受业，当免费并无条件传授之。凡我所知，无论口授书传，俱传之吾与吾师之子及发誓遵守此约之生徒，此外不传与他人。 我愿尽余之能力与判断力所及，遵守为病家谋利益之信条，并检柬一切堕落和害人行为，我不得将危害药品给与他人，并不作该项之指导，虽有人请求亦必不与之。尤不为妇人施堕胎手术。我愿以此纯洁与神圣之精神，终身执行我职务。凡患结石者，我不施手术，此则有待于专家为之。 无论至于何处，遇男或女，贵人及奴婢，我之唯一目的，为病家谋幸福，并检点吾身，不作各种害人及恶劣行为，尤不作诱奸之事。凡我所见所闻，无论有无业务关系，我认为应守秘密者，我愿保守秘密。尚使我严守上述誓言时，请求神祗让我生命与医术能得无上光荣，我苟违誓，天地鬼神实共亟之。 ------------------------------------ I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepiusand Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods andgoddesses, making them my witnesses, that I willfulfill according to my ability and judgment thisoath and this covenant:　　To hold him who has taught me this art asequal to my parents and to live my life in partner-ship with him, and if he is in need of money togive him a share of mine, and to regard his off spring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this art - if they desire to learn it - without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the otherlearning to my sons and to the sons of him whohas instructed me and to pupils who have signedthe covenant and have taken an oath according tothe medical law, but to no one else.　　I will apply dietetic measures for the benefitof the sick according to my ability and judgment;I will keep them from harm and injustice.　　 I will neither give a deadly drug to anybodyif asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to thiseffect. Similarly I will not give to a woman anabortive remedy. In purity and holiness I willguard my life and my art.　　I will not use the knife, not even on suffer-ers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of suchmen as are engaged in this work.　　Whatever houses I may visit, I will comefor the benefit of the sick, remaining free of allintentional injustice, of all mischief, and in par-ticular of sexual relations with both female andmale persons, be they free or slaves.　　What I may see or hear in the course of thetreatment or even outside of the treatment in re-gard to the life of men, which on no account onemust spread abroad, I will keep to myself, hold-ing such things shameful to be spoken about.　　If I fulfill this oath and do not violate it, mayit be granted to me to enjoy life and art, beinghonored with fame among all men for all time tocome; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may theopposite of all this be my lot.　（Translation by Ludwig Edelstein）
