A Lane in the Rain 雨巷 Dai Wangshu 戴望舒 撑着油纸伞，独自 Alone holding an oil-paper umbrella, 彷徨在悠长，悠长 I wander along a long 又寂寥的雨巷， Solitary lane in the rain, 我希望逢着 Hoping to encounter 一个丁香一样的 A girl like a bouquet of lilacs 结着愁怨的姑娘。 Gnawed by anxiety and resentment. 她是有 A girl 丁香一样的颜色， The color of lilacs, 丁香一样的芬芳， The fragrance of lilacs, 丁香一样的忧愁， The worries of lilacs, 在雨中哀怨， Feeling melancholy in the rain, 哀怨又彷徨 Plaintive and hesitating. 她彷徨在这寂寥的雨巷，撑着油纸伞 Silently she comes closer, 像我一样，像我一样地 ，默默彳亍着， Closer,giving me 冷漠，凄凉，又惆怅。 A glance like a sigh; 她默默地走进，走进，又投出，太息一样的眼光， 她飘过 Then she floats past 像梦一般地 Like a dream, 像梦一般地凄婉迷茫。 Dreary and blank like a dream. 像梦中飘过 Like a lilac 一支丁香地， Floating past in a dream, 我身旁飘过这女郎； the girl floats past me; 她静默地远了，远了， Silently she goes further and further, 到了颓圮的篱墙， To the crumbling wall, 走尽这雨巷。 Out of the lane in the rain. 在雨的哀曲中， In the mournful melody of the rain, 消了她的颜色， Her color has faded, 散了她的芬芳， Her fragrance has disppeared, 消散了，甚至她的 Vanished into the void; 太息般的眼光， Even her glance like a sigh, 丁香般的惆怅 Melancholy like lilacs. 撑着油纸伞，独自 Alone holding an oil-paper umbrella, 彷徨在悠长，悠长 I wander along a long 又寂寥的雨巷， Solitary lane in the rain, 我希望飘过 Hoping to pass 一个丁香一样的 A girl like a bouquet of lilacs 结着愁怨的姑娘 Gnawed by anxiety and resentment. 背景知识： 戴望舒（1905.3.5～1950.2.28）现代诗人。又称“雨巷诗人”，中国现代派象征主义诗人。戴望舒为笔名，原名戴朝安，又名戴梦鸥。笔名艾昂甫、江恩等。 浙江杭县（ 今杭州市余杭区）人。他的笔名出自屈原的《离骚》：“前望舒使先驱兮，后飞廉使奔属 。”意思是说屈原上天入地漫游求索，坐着龙马拉来的车子，前面由月神望舒开路，后面由风神飞廉作跟班。望舒就是神话传说中替月亮驾车的天神，美丽温柔，纯洁幽雅。曾赴法国留学，受法国象征派诗人影响。
