男人口中的“傻女孩”

在男人眼里，好女人看起来都是傻傻的，傻得天真，傻得可爱，男人大都喜欢女人的傻劲儿；而不喜欢过于精明的女人，或者俗气太重、半傻不精的女人。人们常说：女人不傻，男人不爱。然而，男生应如何用英语准确描述心仪的“傻女孩”呢？ （1）She's real nitwit. 她真是个糊涂虫。 “nitwit”意思是“不”和“智慧”的合成，也就是“不智慧”喽，对应到汉语中就是我们说的“糊涂虫”。如：You're a real nitwit. How could you badmouth his girlfriend in his face?（你真是个糊涂虫。你怎么能当他的面说他女朋友的坏话呢？） （2）She really has no guts. 她真是没骨气。 “guts”是“内脏”的意思，人们将其引申喻指勇气、毅力或力量等。“hate to the nuts”的意思是“对某人恨之入骨”。如：She really has no guts. If I were she, I would shouted back.（她真是没骨气。要是我的话肯定要喊回去。） （3）She is plain doormat. 她真是个受气包。 “doormat”是个合成词，由door（门）和mat（垫子）组成，意指放在门口处供人“蹭鞋”的门垫，是个专门供人“踩”的东西，跟“受气包”的概念是不是很贴切呢？如：Stand up for yourself a bitidon't be such a doormat! （长点骨气吧——别老这么忍着任人践踏！） （4）She's still wet behind the ears. 她还嫩点儿。 “be wet behind the ears”的字面意思是“像刚生下来的婴儿一样，耳朵后面的根毛还是湿的呢”，意指“乳臭未干”、“无知”、“太年轻”等。但值得注意的是，这句话用于评论别人的时候带有轻蔑的意味。如：She's still wet behind the ears. How should she believe everything that Sally says.（你还嫩点儿。你怎么会相信萨利说的事呢。） （5）They're just following like sheep. 她们只是在盲从。 “follow like sheep”表示人的“盲从”，带有贬义。如：You're right. They are just follwing like sheep.（你说的对。她们只是在盲从。） （6）She can't tell the sheep from the goats. 她分不清好赖人。 在英语中，“the sheep and the goats”常用来意指好人和坏人，因此，“not tell the sheep from the goats”也就有了分不清好人和坏人的意思了。如：She can't tell the sheep from the goats. I once helped her a lot, but in the end she said she didn't need my help at all.（她分不清好赖人。我曾经帮过她大忙，但是最后她竟然说她根本不需要我的帮忙。 （7）She's only one track-minded. 她只是脑子一根筋儿而已。 “one track-minded”直译为“单轨思维”，其意思是说“大脑不灵活，缺乏灵活的思维能力”。如：She's only one track-minded. But she didn't mean to be harmful.（她只是脑子一根筋儿而已。但是她不是有意伤害你。） （8）She must be having a few buttons missing. 她肯定是脑子有点不正常。 此语中的“buttons”原指“纽扣”或“按钮”。此语主要用来表达“神经失常”、“行为古怪”以及“头脑失常”之类的概念。如：She must be having a few buttons missing. That's why it's useless to argue with her.（她肯定是脑子有点不正常。这就是为什么我说你跟她理论没用。） （9）She hasn't ever shown her paces. 她从来没有显露出自己的真本事。 此语源于对赛马的评价，其中的paces指马赛跑时的“步调”或“步速”，后来引申用于对人的描述。 如：He says that he hasn't ever shown his paces. Maybe he'll show us one day.（我不知道。他说他从来没有显露出自己的真本事。也许有一天会显露给我们看的。） （10）She's wishy-washy, and has no guts. 她像软棉花捏的，一点儿骨气都没有。 汉语口语常用“软棉花捏的”来责骂“没骨气”或“太软弱”的人。whishy-washy的意思就是如此。有的时候也可以用a wimp来表示。如：She still found it wasn't detailed enough, saying, "Why be so wishy-washy?（ 她还嫌不详细，说：“你这人真不爽快！）
