舞踏被认为是“肉体的超现实主义”.如今已经被看作为一种现代舞形式,然而这种实验性的舞台表演是从二十世纪五十年代至六十年代开始成为日本前卫艺术运动之一。
关于KATSURA Kan
来自京都,日本资深舞踏艺术家,1979-1981加入日本“白虎社”(Byakkosha)舞踏舞蹈团,之后20年一直在印度尼西亚及泰国做研究。2001年,Kan开始在巴尔干地区工作。并以独立和做为协作舞者的身份开始编舞工作。在过去的三十年里,Kan在非洲、欧洲、东南亚地区的偏远地区做了大量了少数民族舞者工作。现在他正在纽约和雅典研究“巴基特舞踏标记法”。

由KATSURA Kan引导,探索“变化”的意义这一舞踏艺术的主要基调。Kan会视频演讲引领大家进入舞踏创始人土方巽(Hijikata Tatsumi)的灵魂及理论。我们将会学习一种叫“舞踏标记法”的实用方法,使我们对自己的身体产生新的认识。通过Kan对舞踏的深刻体会,让你渐渐学会如果“聆听自身的重量”、“唤醒你的鼻子”、“关注现实以外的另一面”。
本次工作坊适合所有接触过或从未接触过“舞踏”的人参加。
工作坊内容概况:
KATSURA Kan先生的工作坊主题是“视舞踏的舞台空间为整体”,这也是日本自1959年以来依然存在的一个大问题,寻找“你自己的舞蹈”。
Kan的方法来自他独创的舞踏标记法和佛教的某种哲学。
讲授自“高贵的八条重叠轨迹”开始。我们将在聆听和观察当中重新思考,把我们的外型当作风景而由之诞生的自身的奇迹。
Kan将在每一天的工作坊中分配学习任务,分享并引导此刻正沉入密林中的你蜷缩的身体。

[WORKSHOP]
BUTOH is called “Surrealism of Flesh” now a day as a contemporary dance form although has been started as an Experimental Performance in 1950s-60s, one of Japanese avant-garde art movement.
-About KATSURA Kan-
KATSURA Kan, a native of Kyoto, is a Master Butoh artist from among the ranks of Japan's senior generation of Butoh. He performed with the seminal
Butoh troupe,“Byakkosha” 1979-1981 and then researching in Indonesia and Thailand for 20 years. In 2001, kan started work in Balkan region for the new communication works. He is a celebrated solo and collaborative performer as well as a choreographer. Kan has worked with what he calls “minority dancers” all over the world, in remote locations throughout Africa, Europe and South East Asia for the past 30 years, in addition to his creative works in cosmopolitan culture. Currently, he is researching "Beckett BUTOH Notation" in NYC, and “Oracle & Enigma” as an Dance Oratorio project in Athens.
[Kan’s workshop direction]
Led by KATSURA Kan, explores the idea of “Transformation” which is the key to his understanding of main stream of BUTOH. Kan will guide you the Origin of Tatsumi Hijikata’s Butoh in his soul and theory as a video lectures. We will face to the new cognitive approach of body with Kan’s movement through the practical method of BUTOH NOTATION. He will instruct you how to “listen to your weight” “awake your noise” “focus on the other side of your reality” through his experiences of the significant elements of BUTOH. The workshop is suitable for everyone with and without previous BUTOH experience.
CONTENT:
KATSURA Kan's workshop centers the idea of "Butoh choreography as a group” which is still big question since 1959 in Japan as Butoh is looking for “your own dance.”
Kan's approach is his original Butoh Notation and one of philosophy in Buddhism Teaching from "Noble Eight-Fold Path." We will rethink our landscape as a costume where come from with Listen and Observation your Mythology.
Kan will give his assignments for each day to share and instruct to evoke your body where you’ve deep in fold in your Forest.

I'd like to share the idea of Butoh with you from 50 years history which I've been learning from 3 Masters especially Butoh Founder, Noh Master of Kongoh School and the late Ben SUHARUTO in Jokjakarta of Indonesian Living National Treasure Dance Artist.
Basic preparation takes 4days, 4 hours a day.
Advanced work need the professional experience as a performer or need to finish Basic preparation which is depend on program period.
Kan’s 4 days workshop will be focused about Butoh transformation on the stage for the audience.
Kan will give his assignments for each day to share and instruct to evoke your body from Kan’s 30 years history of Butoh. Kan’s workshop can be any performer as long as he or she aims to be a professional.

我站在一片依旧愚昧的森林里。一切都让我难以理解,却让我理解了自己的虚弱……核心问题是不确定的。没关系。因为内心抗拒的那部分,我看起来还是是愉快的,爱与恨的结合,让舞蹈从黑暗踏入明朗的美好感受得以幸存。我的身体是个容器。
某天,走进热带雨林让我懂了要慢慢地走。直到我能永远跑下去。
漫步的时候,我遇见了“Blue D”, ” Red B.“和"Black T."让我惊讶的是,同他们交谈让我知道了我可以以我的愿望自由地命名这片“森林”。在这些意象的帮助下,我感到了风的方向,舔了一下嘴唇。在我多次的邂逅当中,那个“White E." 是最珍贵而唯独打动我的,自此我成了E梦里的一部分。我曾经深入热带雨林,深入稠密而刺激的黑暗,跟随它的脚步。所以,此刻,恐怕很难联络上我,我的朋友们,就从进入那个没有“时间”存在的空间开始。而我必须驱动自身进入“时间”。也许可以真正的“思考”一下你我,我们能不能?

I stood still as if a benighted forest. Everything is so obscure here and every effort to grasp myself fails......the subject is unclear. Never mind. I seem happy because my negative part, a mix of love and hate, which resisted the pleasant sensation of dancing into the brighter world from the darkness. My body is Machine.
One day, going into the tropical rain forest taught me to walk slowly. Until then I always run.
Walking slowly, I met "Blue D.”,” Red B." and "Black T.". To my surprise, talking with them, I knew I could freely call this forest anything I wanted. With the help of these objects, I felt the wind's direction and wet my lips. Among my many encounters, that of the “White E." is the most precious which alone touches me, since I am a part of E's dream. I have been going deep into the tropical rain forest, deeper into the thick and spicy darkness, following its footsteps. So, for now, it may be difficult to contact with me, my friends, since in the place where no “TIME” is. I must drive into the "TIME". But we may be able to "THINK" of each other, can't we?
