Human beings are like that.

We want to live by each other's happiness,not by each other's misery.
我们不愿意相互憎恨和鄙视
We don 't want to hate and despise one another.
世界是每个人的，
In this world there's room for everyone,
富饶的地球会养活每个人
and the good Earth is rich and can provide for everyone.
这种生活方式将会自由而美好
The way of life can be free and beautiful.
但是我们迷失了方向
But we have lost the way.
贪婪毒害了人们的灵魂
Greed has poisoned men's souls,
憎恨包裹着世界
has barricaded the world with hate.
把我们愚蠢地赶进苦难和血腥之中
It has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.
我们发展了速度，可我们彼此更不了解
We have developed speed,but we have shut our selves in.
机器生产财富，而我们缺衣少食
Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want.
知识使我们乖僻
Our knowledgehas made us cynicall;
我们的才智冰冷无情
our cleverness, hard and unkind.
我们想得多，而感受太少
We think too much and feel too little.
我们要机器，可是我们更要爱
More than machinery,we need humanity.
是要有才智，可是我们更要有仁慈
More than cleverness,we need kindness and gentleness.
没有这些品质，生活是凶残的
Without these qualities,life will be violent,
一切都将失去
and all will be lost.

子弹穿过身体的洞叫做

一个永久的窟窿
a permanent cavity.
一个永久的窟窿是警察们
A permanent cavity is what cops strive for
在射击危险人物时，想要努力做到的
when shooting someone dangerous.
他们说，最合适做那工作的子弹
They say the best bullet for the job
在试图排除一些危险的时候
when trying to incapacitate someone dangerous
越大的那颗子弹，速度就最快
is the one that's bigger,the one with the most velocity,
造成最大的永久的窟窿
the one that creates the largest permanent cavity,
被打中的人也死得快些
the one that kills faster.
所以我觉得，被一发小口径子弹击中是更坏的
What I think what would be worse is being hit by a smaller caliber bullet
