Germany are UEFA European Women's Under-19 champions for the fourth time after overwhelming Norway in a one-sided final in Imola.
Leading by Luisa Wensing first-half header, Maren Meinert's side had the match wrapped up by the hour, two goals by Lena Lotzen and strikes from Isabella Schmid and Romana Petzelberger setting Germany on their way to the biggest winning margin in a final. Ivana Rudelic, Schmid again, and Anja Hegenauer completed an 8-1 rout.
As in their four previous four matches, including an opening day 3-1 win against Jarl Torske's side, Germany's midfield swamped their opponents, Schmid conducting play from central midfield and Eunice Beckmann thriving in a wider position. Germany's No 7 created her side's first chance after bringing down a high ball, teeing up Petzelberger whose shot was tipped wide by Ane Fimreite. Beckmann went close herself soon after.
Norway threatened only sporadically from long balls and free-kicks – Leonie Maier clearing Andrine Hegerberg's 25-metre free-kick off the line. Yet although the breakthrough came from a set piece, it was Germany who scored it, Wensing meeting Petzelberger's corner with a brave diving header.
Germany doubled their lead shortly after half-time, a wonderful passing move involving Carolin Simon, Lotzen and Schmid, culminating in the Germany No8 beating Fimreite – just as she had on the opening match of the tournament – from distance. Now the floodgates had opened and Germany's third goal was born of another clever interchange, this time between Schmid and Beckmann, whose neat pass was dispatched by Lotzen.
Norway had no answer to the onslaught and on 58 minutes were four down, Lotzen's cushioned header smashed into the roof of the net by Petzelberger. Moments later Lotzen rose highest to head in Jennifer Cramer's cross. Norway were utterly overrun and were soon six down, caught out on the break, as Rudelic buried a cross from fellow substitute Anja Hegenauer.
Melissa Bjånesøy at least scored her seventh goal of the finals, turning in Caroline Hansen's corner. Germany were not done, however, Schmid compounding Norway's misery with another long shot, before Hegenauer beat Fimreite from 20 metres two minutes from time.

1 Lisa Schmitz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)
She is a quiet person but funny, and despite being placid she is a commanding presence in goal, where she always makes sure her players are in the right position.
2 Leonie Maier (SC 07 Bad Neuenahr)
Leonie is a real battler with a good shot and although she is a defender she is always bombing down the right to set up another attack.
3 Carolin Simon (Hamburger SV)
The funny one in the group, the one everybody loves. But on the pitch she is technically very good and has a good left foot, which she uses to hit deadly free-kicks.
4 Johanna Elsig (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)
Our vice-captain and a mean table tennis player. She brings order to our play and is the voice of our defence. She is important to us because you always need a commander back there.
5 Luisa Wensing (FCR 2001 Duisburg)
Off the pitch 'Lulle' can sometimes be a bit childish but on the pitch she is very tough. She is very good in one-on-one situations and brilliant in the air.
6 Kathrin-Julia Henrich (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)
Kati plays in a holding role in midfield, is very athletic and has a good eye for the pass out of the back. She is a dependable midfielder.
7 Eunice Beckmann (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)
She is very powerful and uses her strength to hold the ball up. On the field she scores important goals; off it she is the one always playing music, singing and sometimes even breakdancing.
8 Isabella Schmid (SC Freiburg)
Bella is very quiet most of the time but when she steps on to the pitch she wakes up. She has an eye for the important pass and a feel for the spectacular. She has a very good shot as she showed against Norway.
9 Nicole Rolser (SC 07 Bad Neuenahr)
Sadly, Nicole has gone home injured.
10 Ramona Petzelberger (SC 07 Bad Neuenahr)
'Shorty' tries to lead the team on the field and off it, which isn't too hard as I have known most of the players for a while. Six of us won the Under-17 European Championship so we have winning experience, although this is another level.
11 Lena Lotzen (FC Bayern München)
She is very fast and strong, has a good shot and is capable of the unexpected. She is always with Lulle [Luisa Wensing] – L & L are like sisters. Lena also scores important goals. She is young but an important part of the team.
12 Friederike Abt (Herforder SV)
At 16 Rike is the youngest member of the team, but she doesn't look it and doesn't behave like it. She seems older, especially on the pitch and she is very good at making reflex saves.
13 Sofia Nati (SG Essen-Schönebeck)
Sofia was out for a long time with a cruciate ligament rupture but she is getting back to her best. She is my room-mate and tends to move around in her sleep, as though she thinks she is still training.
14 Kristin Demann (1. FFC Turbine Potsdam)
Tini is a relaxed, quiet person who rooms and hangs out with Jennifer Cramer. She is a centre-back who is good positionally and plays good passes into the midfield.
15 Ivana Rudelic (FC Bayern München)
She is confident, always knows what she wants and is dangerous in front of goal. She is a forward with a sense for being in the right place at the right time.
16 Jennifer Cramer (1. FFC Turbine Potsdam)
We call her Alfred because she sounds like a frog. She is slow at eating, walking, everything ... she is always the last one. We're always waiting for her, normally because she is still eating Nutella crepes.
17 Marie Pyko (SC 07 Bad Neuenahr)
My room-mate at Bad Neuenahr, Marie is very quiet and friendly. On the field she is very strong and fast on the right side of midfield.
18 Anja Hegenauer (SC Freiburg)
Anja is Bella's room-mate. She is very nice and polite. She can play on the left or right wing, is fast and very direct. When she has the ball she is always looking to run straight at goal.
