我们要吃得更好、住得更宽敞、更舒服。我们要更快的火车、更高的楼房、更新的电脑、更强大的手机。 我们要更健康、活得更久，孩子们要学习更多的知识本领。 在有限的生命里，我们要做更多的事情，去更远的地方旅行、掌握更多的语言。 互联网让我们可以了解更多的信息，以前所不可能知道的，现在更多的更容易的更低成本的知道了。 生活的效率更高，内容更丰富。我们的一生相对于古代人来说也许做了20倍或者100倍的事情。更值了！！
于此同时，我们也无条件地承受了所有这些的副产品，正如世界上没有无副作用的药物一样。我们呼吸着更肮脏更有毒的空气、我们和朋友家人在一起的时间更少了、我们的安全更加没有保障、我们觉得更累、甚至活得更无聊！我们的世界充满了危机、战火、饥饿，我们的社会充满了令人瞠目结舌的恐怖，以至于太多到让我们慢慢变得麻木。我们平均受教育的程度大幅提高，但是我们的良知却大幅下降了。我们的人口大幅的增加，素质却下降了。我们的平均寿命更长了，却感到人生更加匆匆。肥胖的人和饿死的人都越来越多，钱越来越多，能买到的东西却越来越少。医院越来越多，能治好病的药物恐怕越来越。。。。
如此写下去，恐怕可以写上一千句。
我们所追求的，难道不是幸福吗？记得这个寓言吗？孩子病了要去找医生，为了去找医生，我们去借驴车，驴车坏了，我们去找铁匠，铁匠的老婆正在生孩子。。。最后我们忘记了我们开始要干什么。
我们为了拧一个螺丝去找寻一个扳手，一个工具，最后我们的一生都在追求工具中过去了。这并不是你的错，但是你是受害者。是谁让你变成这样？
