                The son of Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jorah hails from Bear Island, but now lives in exile in Essos. The knight fled Westeros in disgrace for slave trading, a crime he engaged in to support a selfish wife who has since left him. Advisor to Daenerys, he originally joined her company to spy on her in exchange for a pardon. He is now devoted to Dany and committed to keeping her safe.

                A Dothraki handmaiden with tutored Daenerys in Dothraki language and customs, she remained with her khaleesi after Drogo's death. Irri was murdered when Daenerys' dragons were stolen.
                
                A former concubine who worked in the pleasure houses of Lys, Doreah was a gift from Viserys to Daenerys. Eager to advance her own position, Doreah allied herself with Qartheen prince Xaro Xhoan Daxos in the hopes of becoming his queen. Her betrayal cost both of them their lives.
                
                Daenerys's Dothraki bodyguard, Rakaharo was descended from a line of bloodrivers. Among the dangers he protected Daenerys from was her own brother's vicious temper. He was among those who stayed with Daenerys after Drogo's death and was one of the first to declare her "blood of my blood." Rakaharo was killed by a rival khalasar during a scouting mission.
                
                Lord Commander of the Kingsguard until King Joffrey ousted him, Ser Barristan left King's Landing in anger and has not been seen since. Also known as Barristan the Bold, his commitment to his oath was unyielding and under the former king, Aerys, he never wavered in his promise to protect the Targaryens. After taking the throne, Robert Baratheon pardoned him and promoted him to lead the Kingsguard.
