he borned in southern, lived in dialect. his parents, who were the old times college graduations, are proud of they could speak a fluent chinese mandarin. he was taught chinese while he was so young, in order to communicate with northern people in other days.
he go for university in 18, by the time people were keen on learning english. major in english made him could goes to a transnational corporation easily. few years later, he was sent to study in australia. married an international student, he begin a trip around the world with his young wife together.
from the southern hemisphere to the northern, they arrived cambodia in november. they met lots of poor children and she loves to plays with them. he curious how she could communicates with them. she told him that, smile is the international language.
他生在南方小鎮，鄉親們說軟糯的方言。父母是舊時代的大學生，以能說一口流利的國語為榮。
從小，家裡教育他，說好普通話，走遍天下都不怕。那時候的天下，很小。不過，如果能說好國語，就能與北方的同胞溝通，就能去首都。
後來他果然去了北京讀書，學的是英文。在他18歲的那年，英文被稱為世界的普通話。
他倚靠語言的特長，畢業之後順利進入了一家跨過企業工作。數年之後，被作為重點培養對象派到澳洲學習，期間戀上當地大學的一個華人留學生。
女生是旅遊管理專業，要到處去看一看是二人最契合的人生觀。一年之後他辭掉了工作，兩人開始了攜手並進的環球旅行。
從南半球開始一路北上，11月的時候抵達柬埔寨。
在暹粒的古跡，能遇上很多窮苦的孩子，靈活地轉換著三種語言來討糖果。他微笑著坐在廟前看她逗孩子們玩，直至夕陽西斜。
他說，柬國的孩子都是天生的語言學家，能精通這麼多種語言。她笑著告訴他，孩子們只會少數幾個單詞而已，只因為過往的遊客好多來自中國。他好奇他們嬉戲了這麼久，如何溝通。
她說，有些時候，微笑能取代一切言語。
笑容是國際最最通用的語言。
