Luther Vandross的這首「Dance with my father」是他在50多歲時創作給父親的紀念，並於2004年一舉獲得了4座葛萊美大獎(包括年度歌曲)。
雖然號稱美國R&B及靈魂音樂大師，但是在這首曲子裡，Luther捨棄了炫技的轉音，編曲也不走華麗風，反而，隨著前奏緩緩響起，原始、樸實而真切的情感開始慢慢湧動，Luther用歌聲酸楚又甜蜜地追憶兒時的幸福往昔，傾訴對已逝父親的懷念。
毫無意外，在近幾年的父親節裡，它也成了電台DJ必播的歌曲~
