尔灵山

——得名于203高地战役，1905
岂能说它容易攀呢？
功名才是一座险山，难攀！
它不断上升，铁血覆盖。
抬望尔灵山，所见都是悲悼。
译注：
1. 三浦矶是居于伦敦的日本当代画家和雕塑家。
2. 尔灵山，位于大连旅顺口，得名于日俄战争期间双方激烈争夺的203高地，汉语名取其音似意近，甚妙。当年日军为从俄军手里夺走该高地，付出惨痛代价，连时任总指挥官乃木大将军的次子也阵亡于此。乃木曾赋诗云：爾靈山嶮豈難攀， 男子功名期克艱。鐵血覆山山形改，萬人齊仰爾靈山。

How can anyone say it was an easy climb?
Honour is such a hard hill to climb!
It grows and stretches, covered with metal and blood.
When I look up at Souls Mountain, all I see is mourning.
