Gurdjieff drives every morning to Paris to the Café de la Pax where he drinks Armagnac or coffee with lemon and revises All and Everything.
Louise Goepfert asks him why he doesn’t stay at the Prieure with its fresh air and beautiful surroundings.
Says Gurdjieff:”I always work in Cafes, places where I see people, how they are; where I see those most drunk, most abnormal. Seeing them I can produce impulse of love in me. From that I write my books.”
