SPOTS OF TIME

A WILD CHILD
野孩子
Beloved Derwent, fairest of all streams,
我最爱的德文河，最美的德文河，
Was it for this that I, a four yesrs' child,
是不是为此，我，一个四岁的小孩，
A naked boy, among thy silent pools
一个光屁股的男孩，才在那么多静谧的水塘中，
Made one long bathing of a summer's day,

Basked in the sun, or plunged into thy streams,

Alternate, all summer's day, or coursed

Over the sandy fields, and dashed the flowers

of yellow grunsel; or, when crag and hill,
要么，在峭壁丘陵，
The woods, and distant Skidddaw's lofty heitht,
葱葱林木，高耸的斯基多山，
Were bronzed with a deep radiance, stood alone
都笼罩在暗沉的光辉中时，独立
A naked savage in the thunder-shower?
