亲爱的爸爸，请给我一个窗口，
给我留一片还没有污染的天空，
在层层重重的铁窗后，让我望一望草地上绿色的自由。
亲爱的妈妈，请给我哭闹的时间，
让我迟一些才学会标准的笑容，
也许你可以先给我一些时间，
让我喜欢自己，
才接受文明的训练。
亲爱的老师，请不要那么紧张，
不是所有的歌曲都要规矩的唱，
一切的ABC可以慢慢学，
不要教我增光添彩，
请让我从从容容。
Please Let Me Grow Up Slowly
Dear Dad, please open the window,
I need a blue sky without pollution.
I am eager to see freedom dancing above the green grass, through small spaces between the many buildings.
Dear Mom, please leave me free time for crying and yelling.
Please allow me to imitate the forced smile later and later.
Maybe you can wait longer,
To allow me to love myself first,
Then take in knowledge and learning later.
Dear Teachers, please do not be too nervous,
Not all songs have to sing at the standard tone and rhythm.
The A, B, C, D can be learnt step by step.
Please do not teach me to be always shinning and sparkling,
Please let me learn at my own pace.
