Jan.2nd, 2017-- About Death
Early this morning, before I got up from bed, mom got a phone call. And then, she told me that Aunt Qi has past away. I sorrow for her death. Aunt died at the age of seventy-three, the first day of 2017. She lost the chance to see four different seasons of 2017, she lost the chance to celebrate Spring Festival with her family and friends.
We are not relatives, she is a friend and good older sister, best tutor of my mom. According to my mom, she was sent to the hospital because of MI (Myocardial infarction) just the day after she and mom freed captive animals to pray blessing for Tongtong, a 13-year-old boy who suffers with brain tumor in hospital. She stayed in the Intensive Care Unit for more than a week. Only relatives could pay visits. Mom visited her several times. Mom said she was conscious all the time, and we all believe she could make it through.
Unfortunately, she was gone. Dear Anut Qi, you have a kind and soft heart, you know. You are capable of bringing peace to the surroundings. Every time I see you, I always feel warm. You believe in Buddhism. It's your faith, you cherish and value your family, your children and your grandchildren more than yourself. I recalled the scene last time, and the truly last time I saw you. It is a October. You asked Dad for help to invite your grandson's class and subject teachers to have a lunch together, hoping they could show him more patience and pay more attention on him. You are a great woman!!!
Nothing is permanent in life. Aunty, I believe you are in a better place right now.
Rest in PARADISE.
2017, I should spend more time with my parents, my family and friends.
Cherish the moments now.
Every day should be infused with gratitude. Gratitude fills your heart with the joyful feeling and allows you to fully appreciate everything that arises on your path. We are still alive. So, smile~~~
