People don't shout out painful in the real world when they are suffered. Only those who WANT WANT MORE and crying for more do.
People don't write sorrow/ hurtful on the face, only those who are playing a role and lying to others.
People taste bitterness, bare it patiently and don't fight back in the angry.
Those negative elements ruining life but people just let it happen without even notice.
People like this are uncle Vanya.
So this is the great show by great artist. In this show, uncle Vanya could curse those liars, those coward. Because in the real life who can tell the secret that people like Vanya ( almost bold, little hair----btw, great film director choose this actor as representing) are real strong person. Great play writer is the person who discover the real secret ( not those shit so called secret) and help to expression.
Then uncle Vanya could shoot his died sister's husband. This is the way he shout out painful, he shout out how big disappointment he has, how he regretful but he can start over.
He intended to shoot at other places because he doesn't want to kill others but just kill himself. He curse himself. He is too painful to see his life. Great show never tell you directly. Great show speak for people who don't speak in the real world. Great show curse monkeys(sorry monkey, you know I am not saying monkey 🐒). So I know what is respectful. And finally, I am satisfied that there is an artist who could write it down and write it accurately about those I do appreciate in the real life. So I call it is GREAT.
The story set its background in a big family( not really THAT BIG), which is personal but at the same time is very social. If love, bitterness, painful as well as living on, keeping going on were easily to be mentioned, to be talked about (they did now, very easily be used in the real world, but they are not as the same as the one I am talking about). Then they are just concept ( or they just words, characters, a b c d) rather than real truth. (Like this moment, I am talking the concept rather than truth now. I am talking about how great show it is rather than talking about I know all in the real life). The theme of 'Uncle Vanya' is keeping going on. It is not easy. And I can feel it can't be 'spoke to/organised in words. After all the people's escaping(his died sister's husband's family; the doctor), he and Sonya going on their life. Uncle Vanya is not a good guy nor bad guy. Somehow I think he can represent real human being. The state of survival. Besides, 'Uncle Vanya' questions basic issue why those monkeys play the role of human being. What is the real human being? Basic issue like LOVE, WORK, HARDWORKING, LAZY and FUTURE... basic issues are complicated and important.
