General data for women at work.
In 2002, in business world, 16% percent of women are of C title position. In NGO, it’s 20%, not much better.
【Body】
Reason 1
Women seldom sit at the table.
(They don’t think they are important in the workplace.)
Example used:
Sheryl had a meeting. She found the man staff in the department sat at the table, but the other two women staff, who are crucial players, sat at the corner.
Sheryl, her sister and his brother took part in an exam. Among three, her sister worked the hardest, Sheryl less, and her brother least. But her sister thought she might failed the exam and his brother thought his was top in the exam.
Reason 2
Women don’t make their partner a real partner.
Example used:
Men are born to be expected to succeed at work, but not women. When a woman has a child, she takes 3 jobs-being an employee, doing household, taking care of baby. Instead, a man only takes one job- being an employee.
Reason 3
Women leave before they have to leave.
Example used:
A young employee talked her pregnancy plan to Sheryl, and talked about making room for the baby. However, she even didn’t have a boyfriend.
【Conclusion】
Connected with her children. Wish her son could take his responsibility at family life and her daughter could have chance to work at the top.
