洛夫：因为风的缘故
《因为风的缘故》是国际著名诗人洛夫所作。洛夫著作甚丰。出版诗集三十一部，散文集六部，评论集五部，译著八部。他的名作《石室之死亡》广受诗坛重视，三十多年来评论不断，英译本已于一九九四年由美国旧金山道朗出版社出版。
《因为风的缘故》是1981年洛夫送给妻子的情诗。仔细品味，释着“风”的生命意义，也是“风的缘故”。
洛夫曾说过：“这个风字，它的概括性很大，可以解释为一种偶然的机缘，也可以象征为一种精神，一种力量。风是天地间真气的流动，使得自然界生机蓬勃，有时风有翅膀，载着我们的梦飞行，有时风是一面旗子，引导我们奋勇向前，但风也变幻莫测，像人的一生，难以掌握，难以掌控。因为风的缘故，春天醒了，花朵升起了美丽；因为风的缘故，万物为爱滋长；因为风的缘故，天地有爱而长久……”。

Strolling slowly I came upon a place
漫步到
Where reeds stooped to drink
芦苇弯腰喝水的地方
In passing, I asked a chimney
顺便请烟囱
To write for me a long letter in the sky
在天空为我写一封长长的信
Though carelessly writ
潦是潦草了些
My heart’s intent
而我的心意
Shone like the candlelight at your window
则明亮亦如你窗前的烛光
Still somewhat obscure
稍有暧昧之处
That cannot be helped
势所难免

It matters not if you understand my letter
此信你能否看懂并不重要
What matters is
重要的是
You must, before the daisies wither
你务必在雏菊尚未全部凋零之前
Quickly lose your temper, or laugh
赶快发怒，或者发笑
Quickly find that thin shirt of mine in the trunk
赶快从箱子里找出我那件薄衫子
Quickly face the mirror, combing your soft black charm
赶快对镜梳你那又黑又柔的妩媚
Then light a lamp
然后以整生的爱
With a lifetime of love
点燃一盏灯
I am a flame
