是月也，天气下降，地气上腾，天地和同，草木繁动。王布农事，命田舍东郊，皆修封疆，审端径术，善相丘陵阪险原隰，土地所宜，五谷所殖，以教道民，必躬亲之。田事既饬，先定准直，农乃不惑。 In the first month of spring, light atmosphere of sky will desend while heavy atmosphere of earth will rise, both will join each other finally and exerting wild growth of plants. The emperor will concern on farming , he ask the officer who in charge of agriculture to strengthen the fence of cultivating field , build up irrigation system and repair the path in the field, conduct delicate survey on the landscape of hills, high land and basin so that various of grains could be cultivated appropriately, he will come to the filed watch and advice. As the order and rules have being enforced , farmers will get no confuse on how to carry on their work. 是月也，命乐正入学习舞。乃修祭典，命祀山林川泽，牺牲无用牝。禁止伐木，无覆巢，无杀孩虫，胎夭飞鸟，无麛无卵，无聚大众，无置城郭，掩骼霾髊。 In this month, the emperor will ask the officer who in charge of music and art to take the decendants of the royal family into school and teach them music and dancing.He will order to prepare ceremony that worship mountains , forests and rivers, the sacrifise will use no female livestocks.He forbid to destory forests, turn over bird nests, kill the kids of bugs and birds, kill the fawns and labouring birds. He also forbid to rally around , build city walls, and ask people to burry the dead. 是月也，不可以称兵，称兵必有天殃。兵戎不起，不可以从我始。无变天之道，无绝地之理，无乱人之纪。 In this month, it's unlucky to fight , that will lead to catastrophe. There must be no war stirred at our country, no messing up with the natural principles both on earth and in the heaven, no abnormal actions that violet morality. 孟春行夏令，则风雨不时，草木早槁，国乃有恐。行秋令，则民大疫，疾风暴雨数至，藜莠蓬蒿并兴。行冬令，则水潦为败，霜雪大挚，首种不入。 In this month, once it appear sign of summer , indicating the climate has been disturbed, creature of nature would die soon, horrible things might happen. If it appear sign of autumn, inplying plague would spread among people, bitter wind and storm might invade the earth time and time again, all sorts of wild weeds would thrive. If it appear sign of winter, symbalizing serious flood might strick the land , heavy ice and frozen would fierce in the future, the seeds won't grow and leave nothing to reap out of.
