Thank you, mum and dad for supporting and helping me with this ridiculous story idea
Chapter One: The wind, the sun, the clouds and my special friends

I stood in front of the water, enjoying how my face changed and rippled in the reflection. I slowly bent down and dipped my finger into the water. This magical liquid was freezing, but I continued putting my hand into it, as if a magic spell had drawn me in. I smiled peacefully, wondering when my hand will reach the bottom. Mud swirled up underwater, fogging the clear water. I had reached the bottom. I thought about it, then wondered how my studies and worries would reach the end just like my hand. I looked up, the scenery was beautiful despite how I had been here all my life and had spent all my spare time around here, in front of the old house that was separated by a shallow pond between us. The old house was crooked and poorly treated by the weather over the time, most of the windows were shattered and some bricks stuck out. But this house looked very complete to me, the condition it was in didn’t change how I felt for it. The feeling was happiness.
All my life, I have always been an outdoor person who loved the nature and could almost fuse with it. To me, nature is my best friend and the only one that could support me. We share our feelings and help each other. The light and fragilewind, the blazing sun, the soft and peaceful clouds and the living plants that led our way to living. I came to this world on a windy but bright day, that’s probably why I love those feelings of brightness but also the subtleness at the same time.
It was getting close to the mid-afternoon on a Monday which means the end of school. I walked out of the school gate, which was surrounded by parents greeting their kids and asking how the day went as normal. When I first came into this high school one year ago, I had wished that my parents were waiting there at the gates just like the others, but now I know that something is waiting for me, something a lot more special than those parents. As soon as I got passed the crowds and started running swiftly, enjoying the howling wind knocking against my ears.
In no time, I ran pasted my house and dropped down on the grass a few meters away from the pond. I looked up at my familiar friend, the creaking old house and the calming nature around it. My mind eased at what I saw, my worries gone.
“I never knew someone else would be here enjoying the view other than myself, I’m glad that I have found someone enjoying the same thing as me.” A voice behind me spoke.
My peaceful mind jerked, I turned around to see who was talking. It was a girl with long gold hair with a few beautiful curls around her lower back, at about my age. She was wearing a white lace dress with a blue ribbon tied into an elegant bow around her waist and a matching bow was also tied around her hair as a head band. I was too shocked to say anything.
“I’m sorry to interrupt you. I was just a little excited to see someone having the same rare interest as me. It’s not like I own this place or have been here before you, because I’m new here. This pond and house brings me back my precious memories from before I came here so I have decided to come here everyday to enjoy this view. You like it too, right?” The girl smiled down at me with her hands placed behind her back.
“Yeah, I do,” I spun around to face her, “It’s really special to me as well, it has been my best friend since I have started having worries.”
The girl seemed to be a little apologetic looking I said it. “Really, I can see it’s very special to you, I’m very sorry to sound like I know a lot about it.”
“Oh, it’s really not mine, and please don’t make it sound like you are doing something wrong. Besides, I’ve always wanted to share this feeling with someone else. No one understands how it feels except the both of us.”
I couldn’t help but spilled out everything in my mind. I was too happy to meet someone like this, someone who understands how I feel. Then I realised that I was too overwhelmed and forgot to introduce myself.
“Hi, I’m Ella Fernsby, nice to meet you,” I said as I stood up and awkwardly held my right hand out. I’m the worst at introductions.
“Greetings,” the girl said formally as she held out her right hand as well to shake mine,“My name is Alice English, I have only been here for about a week so hopefully you can help me out with some things around here.”
We looked at each other, not sure what to say next.
“How about, from today on, we will meet every day at teatime right on this spot?”Alice asked with her eyes shining with happiness.
“We shall, then, since it’s getting quite late.” I agreed.
I stared at the familiar trail that will lead me back home as I wished my new friend farewell and rushed back for dinner. She went the opposite and started walking swiftly, but also in a manner that won’t cause any trouble to her delicate dress.
To be continued…
