Creating a Storyboard
A storyboard: it is a written or graphical overview of all of the elements that you plan to include in the digital story.
Importance of storyboards:
1. It helps you organize and visualize your story.
2. It determines the sequencing and timing of story elements (script, images, music, etc.)
3. It allows for easy changes before editing video on a computer.
How to create storyboards:
1. pencil and paper
2. computer software
3. storyboard templates, examples, tutorial on website.
Example storyboards:
- text only;
- thumbnail images + text;
- …
Additional tips:
- Have a logical and coherent storyboard progression;
- include as much of the script as possible;
- keep visual elements simple;
- images can be sketches, clipart, thumbnails, or simply written descriptions.
