不知道为什么本刊在magazinelib上的资源消失了，本来想着等精读完之后一起发出来，现在看来已经没有那个必要了。

Mood虽然是心情的意思，但他也有气氛氛围的意思

译文：两件事改变了这种氛围（大概指默克尔不断削弱个人对德国政治的参与，为退任做准备），第1件事就是大慌乱（大概是指新冠爆发），它将默克尔重新推向了舞台（政治舞台）中央。

Stand for除了有代表、支持的意思之外，还有为...而奋斗的意思

Succeed 作动词有成就，成功，继承的意思，对，成功与继承是同一个词

译文：在承诺了不竞争第5个任期之后，她（默克尔）全身心投入外交政策（好像吧？），同时那些继她之后的scrap（不知道这个词放在这里怎么理解）开始消费（好像吧？）国务政策。

Deliver的意思有兑现，发布，传递出，不负众望等，所以电影名Stand and deliver就可以理解为坚持并不负众望

译文：最近，当德国的争论掀起了第2轮热浪时（大概这么个意思吧），她在议会中慷慨激扬地表达了迅速且坚决地实行封城的主张（宪章保留有相关权利）

Fiscal财政的，国库的fiscal response就可以理解为财政反应力。

Calm bearing calm在这里仍理解为沉稳地，冷静地之类的意思。不同的在于bearing的意思，bearing虽说是承受的动名词形态，但它作为名词解释还有姿态、举止的意思

Bask它的本意好像是晒太阳、取暖，于是就引申为享受什么什么。bask in的意思就可以形象地理解为沐浴在什么什么之中

Rocket的本意是火箭，于是就引申为迅速增长猛涨

Bond 除了有纽带、联系的意思之外，还有债券的意思。这里可以理解为新冠造成的负担挑战了欧洲的债券系统。

Taboo 禁忌

译文：当新冠造成的紧迫情形试炼着欧洲的债券业务时，默克尔夫人打破了德国关于公共债券的禁忌，并通过了一笔7,500亿欧元的基金，用来援助欧洲范围内2021年以及将来的经济恢复。
