黑暗的魔法森林 - 波兰黑暗死亡金属Stigmata Diaboli乐队专访
今天再次为大家介绍波兰音乐家Thorn组建的另外一支黑暗死亡金属Stigmata Diaboli乐队，这也是我第一次介绍带有黑金属元素的死亡金属乐队，说实话我听黑金属非常的少，带有黑金属元素的死亡金属乐队也非常的少，但是当我听到Stigmata Diaboli乐队作品的时候我突然发现“The Coded Devil”有着它自己独特的魅力，和其他黑暗死亡金属不同的是，Stigmata Diaboli乐队更注重黑金属式的氛围感，把氛围黑金属的感觉做得相当的突出，死亡金属的元素并不是那么的浓重，这个是在别的黑暗死亡金属中是非常少见的，而且这张专辑的旋律更加的优美，宏伟，大气，虽然整体的速度并不像其他黑暗死亡金属乐队那样的快速，但是当你听到这张专辑的时候你会感觉一种不一样的风格，当然还有一些传统死亡金属的演奏手法穿插在其中，配的非常完美，可以说“The Coded Devil”是一张接近满分的作品，而且我非常喜欢这支乐队的音乐主题，更多的关注人性，自然，波兰的Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho为这张专辑发行了限量300份的拷贝，在上次Thorn接受了Painful Insomnia乐队的采访之后，也接受了Stigmata Diaboli乐队的采访邀请，我也为他的两支乐队都进行了采访，接下来就一起走进Stigmata Diaboli乐队黑暗的世界吧（M: 代表笔者 T: 代表Thorn）
Today I will again introduce you to another dark death metal band Stigmata Diaboli formed by Polish musician Thorn. This is also the first time I introduce a death metal band with black metal elements. To be honest, I hear very little about black metal. There are also very few black metal death metal bands, but when I heard the work of Stigmata Diaboli, I suddenly discovered that "The Coded Devil" has its own unique charm. Unlike other dark death metals, Stigmata Diaboli Pay more attention to the black metal atmosphere, make the atmosphere black metal feel quite prominent, the element of death metal is not so strong, this is very rare in other dark death metals, and the album's The melody is more beautiful, magnificent and atmospheric. Although the overall speed is not as fast as other dark death metal bands, when you hear this album you will feel a different style, and of course there are some traditions. The playing techniques of Death Metal are interspersed with it, and the matching is perfect. It can be said that "The Coded Devil" is a work close to full marks, and I like the music theme of this band very much, paying more attention to humanity, nature, and Polish. Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho released a limited edition of 300 copies of this album. After Thorn accepted an interview with Painful Insomnia last time, he also accepted an interview with Stigmata Diaboli. Stigmata Diaboli is a very young band established in 2020. Then you How did you form this band in the first place? Does the name have any meaning?

Stigmata Diaboli means the marks of the devil on the human body. The term was popular at the time of the inquisition. It was believed that some people through certain birthmarks on the body (usually congenital) were thus marked by the Devil. Hahaha. Well. Such times. I read about it in one of my books and since I was working on my debut material in the Black / Death Metal atmosphere at that time, I decided to use it as the name of the project. I believe that it sounds great and can be interpreted in many ways. And isn't that what art is all about?
M: 你组建的乐队都是你自己，那你为什么不找一些其他的成员来帮助你组建一个完整的乐队呢？
All the bands you set up are yourself, so why don't you find some other members to help you form a complete band?
T: 在每次采访中，我都会重申我不是摇滚乐类型。过去我曾与各种音乐家合作过，但不幸的是并没有带来太好的结果。独自工作对我来说是完美的。
In every interview I repeat that I am not a rock n roll type. In the past I have worked with various musicians but unfortunately it did not bring too good results. Working alone is perfect for me.

What was your process of composing songs, can you talk about it?

"The Coded Devil" was a very difficult album. I devoted a lot of time to him. The books I was reading were the main inspiration. Many of them were devoted to ancient religions and the struggle of good and evil in religious contexts. It can be said that literature was the main source of inspiration. However, I was not influenced by any musical influences. Everything was created straight from the heart.
M: 您的作品是在专业录音室录制的吗？ 你为你混了哪个混音器？
Is your work recorded in a professional recording studio? Which mixer did you mix the work for you?
T: 所有工作室的工作都是我做的。 这张专辑是在我的家庭工作室录制、混音和母带的。
All studio work is by me. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in my home studio.

The theme of Stigmata Diaboli's music is about humans and nature. This is a very novel theme. So how did you come up with this kind of theme?

I think this subject will appear in Black / Death Metal bands forever. It perfectly complements the musical atmosphere. This is, of course, an endless topic and everyone can interpret it in their own way. I did so too. Nothing more nothing less. There is a Devil in all of us. Hence the name of the album. "The Coded Devil"

Your band logo and album cover are very beautiful, especially the album artwork I like very much, so are these 1 you designed or other artists designed for you?

The artwork and all graphics are by my friend Jan Ziuzia. I've been working with him for some time. He loves extreme subjects, which translates into his works. The CD release is really great. There are many of his very good works in the insert.

First of all, congratulations on the release of your latest album in 2020. This is a very exciting and beautifully melodic album. In addition to the traditional instruments, I should have some other instruments. "The Coded Devil" is a magnificent one. There are some evil feelings in standard black metal singing, the overall speed of the song is not very fast, but it sounds very comfortable and atmospheric, and there are some traditional death metal playing techniques in it, then you are right Do you have any opinions about this work?

Thank you. I've been working on this album a lot of time and I think I put the greatest emphasis on the atmosphere. There are a lot of things here that could be found on different albums, hence the diversity of this material. Although we still hear Black / Death Metal here, it is shown from a different angle in each track. I believe that this is the biggest advantage of "The Coded Devil".

Wydawnictwo Muzyczne Psycho is an underground label that is generally quite known in the Polish underground. It is commanded by Robert who is a real metal fan. We have a similar approach to today's scene, so the cooperation is good.

Do you have any new work to do in the new year? For example, when recording some new songs, can you reveal some information?

Soon my next project will appear, this time purely black metal with the message of ancient Slavic culture. Immediately after its release, I am starting work on new Stigmat Diaboli material. Several songs are already recorded and new ones are still being created. There is also my next project called Painful Insomnia in which I play music from the Brutal Death Grind genre. So as you can see I have something to do hehe.
