已经很久没有介绍过来自俄罗斯的乐队乐，那么今天就为大家介绍一支来自俄罗斯的死亡金属 / 碾核乐队Pissdeads，2005年当乐队的创始人Popster还是一名学生就已经开始录制唱片了，但是Popster很难找到一支合适自己的乐队，所以他决定自己组建一支乐队，就这样他组建了Pissdeads乐队，后来吉他手 / 歌手的Sin加入了乐队，让乐队变成了一支两个人的乐队，Sin担任吉他手 / 歌手，Popster担任鼓手 / 歌手，Pissdeads乐队以Old School Death Metal混合着Old School Grindcore为主，噪音一样的吉他，疯狂，快速，震耳欲聋，其中还穿插这一些死亡金属式的的Riff，高速，混乱和疯狂的鼓点，歌手采用了传统死亡金属和Grindcore风格的演唱方式，就在前几天我联系到了乐队的创始人Popster进行了一次采访（E: 代表笔者 P: 代表Popster）

It’s been a long time since I introduced band music from Russia, so today I will introduce you a death metal/grind nuclear band from Russia, Pissdeads. In 2005, when the founder of the band Popster was a student, he started recording records, but It was difficult for Popster to find a suitable band for him, so he decided to form a band by himself. In this way, he formed the Pissdeads band. Later, the guitarist/singer Sin joined the band and turned the band into a two-person band. , Sin is the guitarist/singer, Popster is the drummer/singer, and the Pissdeads band is based on Old School Death Metal mixed with Old School Grindcore. The noise-like guitar is crazy, fast, and deafening, and there are also some death metal styles. Riff, high speed, chaos and crazy drums, the singer adopts the traditional death metal and Grindcore style of singing. Just a few days ago I contacted the founder of the band Popster for an interview (E: on behalf of the author, P: on behalf of Popster)

Hello Popster, I am very happy to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. The Pissdeads band was founded in 2005 and is a 16-year old band. So how did you think of forming this band in the first place?

Hello! Nice to meet you! Yes, right now I am 32 and Pissdeads is 16, so it means I spent a half of my life on it. And I feel great about it. I started to make recordings when I was a school boy, cause I was very interested in music, but I didn’t have much access to death metal and grindcore and the bands I liked that time were great but I couldn’t find an ideal band for me. There was always something missing. So I started making recordings that could satisfy all my needs. It was not difficult and I made tons of them. Unfortunately most of them were lost. But it’s all right I always can make something more. Actually I wanted to make a band, but later I realized that I can do everything alone. And this is how Pissdeads was started.

E: 乐队成员只有你一个人，那么在作曲的时候我觉得完全可以按照自己的想法来作曲，那你平时是怎么作曲的呢？

Is the band always you alone? So when composing songs, I think you can compose completely according to your own ideas, so how do you usually compose music?

Today Pissdeads is a duo: me on drums and vox and Sin – guitar and vox. We both bring ideas to Pissdeads, write songs. Sometimes Sin brings new riffs and songs, sometimes I do. We try to practice once a week. But when I started Pissdeads in 2005, yeah, I was alone and I didn’t compose songs – it was all improvisitaion. I just recorded drums and then I recorded guitar above the drum and then I mixed these two tracks and vocals were recorded. I used a couple of simple PC programs for recording and mixing, the cheapest microphone and dictophone. Track by track many songs were recorded, but it always started with drums.

E: 您的作品是在家录制还是在专业录音棚录制？你的录音其实还不错，都是你自己的混音作品吗？

Are your works recorded at home or in a professional recording studio? Your recordings are actually pretty good, are they all your own mixed works?

P: 我们最新的两张专辑（Pissdeads (2020) 和 Грув 200 (2021)）是在专业录音室录制的。之前的所有专辑都是在家里录制的，或者在排练的地方录制的，或者只是在音乐会现场录制的。家里录的都是我混的。感谢您的客气话！最新的两张专辑由莫斯科Orange工作室的Nick Samarin录制和混音。我很高兴和他一起工作，他是一个伟大而思想开放的人。

Our two latest albums (Pissdeads (2020) and Грув 200 (2021)) were recorded at professional studio. All the previous albums were recorded either at home, either at rehearsal place or just live at concerts. The ones recorded at home were mixed by me. Thank you for your kind words! The two latest albums were recorded and mixed by Nick Samarin, Orange studio, Moscow. I am very happy to work with him, he’s great and open-minded guy.

Actually if memory doesn’t fail me our first release was split with Snimoknok (Russian noise artist) at Undeground Pollution records (tape label from France). Well I just didn’t have internet to connect with the world. So I was just making recordings at home after school. There were tons of them but the most part was lost. I got some old stuff from these days and I am gonna upload it to our bandcamp later. When I got internet connection I made myspace and stuff and found like-minded people.

E: Pissdeads的音乐主题是什么？你的作品有歌词吗？那么这些歌词的灵感是什么呢？

What is the theme of Pissdeads' music? Does your work have lyrics part? So what is the inspiration for these lyrics?

We got lyrics but mostly we improvise vocals, so it sounds like glossolalia. Our lyrics are very symbolic and abstract, so if you hear them you can imagine what you like. The main theme of Pissdeads is exorcism and therapy. Just putting out all your negative emotions and wave them goodbye. You can express all your negativity through music it’s the most harmless way. Music helps me and I hope it helps to those who listen to it.

Pissdeads’ logo and album artwork are very abstract, but it’s a style that I personally like very much, because it’s easy for me to remember that this is the work of Pissdeads, so who designed these artwork for you?

Thank you! The album cover and logo for Pissdeads (2020) was made and designed by Sin, he is a painter and he got his style that I like. The cover for Грув 200 (2021) was designed by another guy but he said he’s not very interested in making covers for bands. Still his is great and I like the cover very much. The thrash metal logo we have was made one of my oldest friends – Taburetkin – he is also a painter and makes many interesting works and designs. When I was younger I didn’t care much about covers and I didn’t pay much attention at them. So it was some photos, made by me or my friends, paintings and some abstract stuff.

First of all, congratulations on the release of the latest album "Грув 200" this year. This is a very good death metal/grindcore work. Most of the guitar performance is based on the noise-like Riff, crazy, fast, deafening, and crazy drum beats. A good demonstration of Grindcore’s chaos and madness. Your singing also uses the traditional death metal growl and your hot scream on G-Day. Your work is a death metal/grindcore work I like very much, then you Do you have any opinions and opinions on your own work?

Thank you for your kind words and for listening! I am real proud of this album and like it very much. The sound, the music – everything is great here and I am happy we recorded it. I listen to it by myself and it’s great that we listen to the music we make, because in this world there are not many bands that I really like J I think the next album will be great too.

You have released albums on many labels, and these labels are very underground labels, the circulation is very scarce, I think this may hinder your album promotion, because the circulation is indeed too scarce, then why did you choose How about these very small tags to cooperate? Why is there a very small number of publications? Have you ever thought about cooperating with a big label?

P: 地下唱片公司非常适合像我们这样的地下乐队，有时我会联系他们，有时他们会提出让我们发行。我以前在地下接触过更多的人，但现在我变得不那么社交了。时间在流逝，事情在变化。我也不像以前那样经常观看现场表演。至于大厂牌——我认为他们对赚钱很感兴趣，但我认为我们不能提供他们需要的钱，实际上大厂牌和制作人在今天的音乐推广中并没有发挥重要作用。有互联网和不同的平台，所以音乐家可以自己做任何事情。我想保持独立，我不想让任何人让我在我不想写的时候写歌。

Underground labels are great for underground bands like us, sometimes I contacted them, sometimes they offered to make our release. I used to contact more people in underground earlier but nowadays I became less social. Time goes and things change. I don’t visit live shows as much as I used to either. As for big labels – I think they are interested in making money, but I don’t think we can provide as much money as they need, and actually big labels and producers don’t play big role in music promotion today. There’s internet and different platforms, so the musicians can do everything by themselves. I’d like to stay independent, I don’t want anybody to make me write songs when I don’t want to.

E: 新专辑"Грув 200"发行后有什么新工作要做吗？例如，继续创作新歌或做一些其他工作。你能透露一些信息给大家吗？

Do you have any new work to do after you release the new album "Грув 200"? For example, continue to create new songs or do some other work. Can you disclose some information to everyone?

P: 今年年底我们又要去录音室录制新歌了。我们有大约20首新歌，我们将在4小时内录制并混音。那将是新专辑，它会在2022年大放异彩。我们也会有EP，也许会有一些Spilt和中国的乐队合作，请随时联系我们关于Spilt的事情，我想可以一起做点什么。

In the end of this year we are going to studio again to record new songs. We have about 20 new songs and we’re gonna record them and mix during 4 hours. That’s gonna be the new album and it will see the light in 2022. We gonna have EP also and maybe a couple of split. Bands from China, feel free to contact us about splits, I think will be able to make something together.
