Yes, these days I don’t go to sleep until the mid-night or even later, you know, I have to burn the mid-night oil to review all my lessons before the final.
2.Did you stay up late when you were a kid?
When I was younger in primary and middle school, I wasn’t allowed to go to bed after 10 pm, let alone stay up late. But in some special festival, like the Lunar New Year Festival, I could just play with my siblings until the wee hours.
3.What do you do when you stay up late?
Well I just play with my phone, like chatting with friends, scrolling through social media, or watching some variety shows on video sites. You know, sometimes I am already exhausted, but I just don’t want to go straight to sleep. Maybe I just want to stay up late to do what I like for revenge.
4.What does it feel like the next morning if you stay up late?
I feel really bad in the next morning, especially on weekdays when I need to get up early. So oftentimes I tend to stay up late if I can sleep in or have a long lie in bed the following day.

I’m not sure what kind of music they like, maybe traditional or country. Actually they don’t listen to music as often as I do, and we don’t share the same taste in music. You know, I’m a die-hard fan of K-POP, but they just can’t get it.

That should be the pop music. You know there’s a famous and talented musician in China called Jay Chou, whose songs sell like hot cakes and are really popular around the whole country.

Around three months ago, I got a good news from my mother which is about the new house my aunt bought in the downtown. It was in a normal day when I was hanging out with my little daughter, I got a phone call from my mother, then she told me she was going to attend my aunt’s house-warming in few days. And my uncle and aunt are grandparents now, they have 3 grandchildren, so they need another bigger house for those kids to live. The new house is only 5 minutes away from the old one. When I heard this news, I was so happy for them, while still I can understand how hard working they are. My uncle and my aunt have one daughter and a son. The son is at his 30s having 3 kids, but he is unemployed for years and hanging out and having drinks often time. For this reason, his wife divorced with him and left. Put it simply , he hasn’t taken his responsibilities as a father and left his kids to his parents. Most of the time, my uncle is the breadwinner and my aunt is the caregiver. They had been working so hard to raise their own kids, but now at the time they should enjoy their retirement life, they shoulder more burdens from life. As the user of phones and iPads are getting younger, some parents think, some bad news should be hidden from them, but the thing is bad news teaches people and makes them concern much about the society or even the world. But still, there is a balance we should keep, exposure to too much bad news or good news may cause some extreme misunderstandings about the reality.

Users are learners. Each social media allows its users to share their stories , experience and something they are excel at. So after writing things down and clicking to release, information is spreading. And other side is when search is done and then information is received. That’s how media works. 参考答案:
Around one ago, I taught my uncle, my father’s biggest brother to reset his QR code for the COVID test. I was in the end of the pandemic but infected cases were increasing rapidly with unknown reasons. So people living around were required to do the COVID test once three days. Before the test, personal QR Code would be scanned for the sake of recording personal information, then after the test, people can check their result on their phones. Most of old people were helped by community staff printing their QR code since they weren’t able to locate it on phone even if it’s pretty easy to do that. However, one day, my uncle failed to find hid print and he turned to me. I download the QR code in his phone and showed him how to find the picture in his album, which seemed much easier to open the QR code directly on the phone. But still, he couldn’t find it. I guess it’s because he didn’t use the album quiet often and couldn’t recognize the image of it. In this case, I tried other way. I showed him how to get his QR code directly in his wechat, a common app he uses daily. There are only two steps to go. Put a fingers on the front page of wechat and pull it down, the health official account can be seen. Click in, Bingo. I showed him around a couple of times until he could do it himself. It turned out that this way it’s much more practical.
With the development of tech, the old generation is kicked out from the society at some extent, sometimes, they may feel isolated by that.

And most of old people have been living in their land for their whole life, they are familiar with everything.
4.How can we know what to do when we want to learn something new?
The most productive way Is to ask help from someone who learnt this before. Maybe the techniques he or she applied might no work to you but at least we can know where or what we can do first. Also, sometimes, turning to experienced people can keep more trouble at bay. I mean, we can avoid detour or time wasting when we learn lessons from others. For instance, I was so scared when I swim at the first time, I wouldn’t even take the first step to try. After that, I searched some experience online, and I knew that putting my head into the water and suspending breathing can effectively conquer the scare. Then I tried, and it worked.
