1、hang out：to hang out clothes，to hang up the wash， to hang out sb's call/phone，It is rude to hang up on someone in the middle of conversation ===》hang out， I can hang out with you，but I am not bound to you. ==>dryer、laundry--do laundry，put clothes on a clothesline or hang them out on a drying rack

2、show up：Sometimes he shows up and visits his mom who lives in an old age home.

1、split up：to split up the candies into five same amount piles. The couple splits up

2、act up：The car will act up. The photocopier have something wrong like paper jams to act up.捣蛋；耍脾气；胡闹；出毛病

3、come across/come across as：to come across the garbage when hiking，to come across as a bit black humor. She used to come cross like a quiet woman. 表现得，让人觉得，给人以…印象

4、run into： I ran into my sister in the grocery last weekend. to run into somebody...

5、hang around：means to wait. Teenages hang around in front of the store. to hang around with a specific guy(a little bit like hang out with sb.)

6、work out: means to do an excercise， I like to work out in the gym. I work out the puzzle. I work out a plan to have a trip.
