Take guff from: 这里的guff意思是蠢话。如果你说你不打算接受某个群体的蠢话，那就可以写I'm not going to take guff from that group.
Trade barbs和trade blows with someone意思都是和某人打嘴仗。如果写的是blow smoke, 那意思是故意误导。
Cast aspersions on someone的意思是污蔑某人。还能用 make animadversions on。 这里如果指的是歧视性的言语那用hurl racial epithets at.
Cobbler: 这个意思相当于hogwash或者malarkey。这里也能用tosh.
Get twitchy和get queasy都是感到紧张的意思。
Doolally：Go doolally的意思是变得疯狂。Go potty和go dotty也是这个意思. 假如说你写一个男生陷入爱河迷恋于某个女生，那就是he's besotted.
Blather: Blather about的意思是滔滔不绝的谈论某事。一般有说蠢话的含义。

In a huff: 这个意思是生气。
Hump: Get over the hump的意思相当于tide over.
Pip: Be pipped at the post的意思是在最后时刻被击败。
Blarney: 这个意思是花言巧语, 比如一个女生告诉闺蜜她不会再听她唐璜一样男友的甜言蜜语那就是she tells her friends that she won't buy into her boyfriend's blarney again.
